RE: F550 thoughts?
You must be clairvoyant.
Where did you get all those "stats" on the as yet unnamed vehicle/motorhome?

RE: F550 thoughts?
That's potentially a big rig.
Does it require an air brakes endorsement to drive?
Should have enough power for reasonable hill climbs/descents. The chassis numbers for GVWR and GCWR will tell the tale on that. You're probably not going to win any races with it.
Ride quality is pretty subjective, bad roads, bad ride, good roads, ???
I wouldn't worry too much about fuel economy on anything that large. The old saying,"if you have to ask MPG, you're probably in over your head". (paraphrasing)
Engine braking on one of those bigger rigs would be a benefit, particularly if you're climbing and descending grades over 3%-4% - safety factor?

RE: Plumbing Management
Winnebago EKKO if price isn't a problem. They're AWD and 4 season capable, right out of the box. I believe they added the color coded plumbing map to make it easier for anyone to deal with. Lots of other perks, as well.
They are beautiful. But I'm not quite that wealthy, would like to stay under $100K and also I'd rather not mess with a diesel.
They're expensive, yes, but they're on the Ford Transit 350 cab chassis which is AWD and gasoline powered.
Oh, I didn't look that closely after seeing the price. Looks like a diesel front end, lol. Wonder if I could tow a Ford Maverick behind it.
From the 2022 Motorhome Magazine Dinghy Towing Guide...
"Maverick Hybrid curb weight 3,674lbs, no distance/speed limits, can be towed wth Automatic transmission.
Manufacturer’s Instructions: Recreational flat towing is possible with the hybrid model only. Front-wheel-drive EcoBoost models must have
the front wheels on a two-wheel dolly, while all-wheel-drive models must be on a trailer with all four wheels off the ground. Emergency flat towing is possible, but there are special restrictions"
So, you could tow a hybrid Maverick.

How much does the Maverick weigh? EKKO will pull 5000lbs flat towing.

RE: 2006 Fleetwood Tioga 26Q 4 season capability?
Best answers are with the manufacturer, the Fleetwood owners community, and in the Owner's Manual. Look under winterization procedures in the manual, and/or join a Fleetwood specific forum and ask on there. Or, call Fleetwood and ask them what it can and cannot do in freezing temps.

RE: Dreaded White Smoke From Power Stroke
You could pick up a ScanGauge and either request they program it for your specific engine (not sure if they still do this), or you could get the SG with the preprogrammed gauges, and add the X-gauges you want from their website. If they'll do the programming for you, that's the easiest route. Or, here are some user programmable X-Gauges from their website. I think you said 6L Powerstroke? Transmission fluid temperature is in the list.
https://www.scangauge.com/x-gauge-commands/6-0l-diesel/
I've got 2, one for my MB 3L V6 turbo-diesel, and one for my Wrangler. It's nice having the fluid temp gauges. Temps can tell you a lot about what's going on under the hood.

RE: freshwater pump maddening problem
Is there a water filter located under your sink somewhere. In my rig its's under the galley sink. Check that for leaks/cracks/that it's securely tightened. If it wasn't winterized recently, it could have frozen and cracked. They do get missed sometimes.
Is the water pump filter/screen inside the little plastic igloo securely tightened? No idea where your pump is located or how difficult it is to reach, but check it if you can. Also, I've sometimes had the pex water hose connectors loosen at the inlet/outlet fittings at the water pump. Check for tightness. I'll assume you know all of this, because you've replaced it once already.
Have you checked the intake hose valve if your fresh water system came equipped with a syphon tube and valve, to let you put RV AF in the tank when winterizing? Just another useless sinlge point of failure, if you ask me.
Lastly, check the pex fittings on the input/output hosess at the water heater. I had a brand new class A a few years ago, that came from the factory with some of the hoses barely hanging on to their water heater fittings.
Check those items, if you haven't already.
Sorry, best guesses, as it's hard to troubleshoot over the net.

RE: Good Sam 3yr. Roadside Assisstance Membership
If you created an online account when you signed up with them (you should have), sign into it, go to My Account, then under Roadside Assistance, click View Roadside Assistance Card. You can cut and paste it (the image) into a note or take a screenshot and send it to your smartphone.
If you ever need help call their toll free service number, and give them your name, the phone number associated with your account, or your account number if you know it, then tell them where you are and explain the problem. That's all they've ever asked me for.
They haven't done physical plastic membership cards in a few years, if that's your issue.

Um, did you call them? They publish their contact numbers on the same website you probably used to "sign up". I believe they also have email address contact options there.

RE: Steering problem...looking for ideas/causes
Like I said in my original reply to your comment "They told me that something happened", which could have been some sort of pothole hit, curb hit, fell off the edge of the roadway onto a low shoulder, ran over something solid ("gator" or other road debris), all sorts of possible causes for a catastrophic front end failure.
Ask them what the "something happened" was. I called it "front end stress" in my prior post, but I meant they may have hit something and damaged the steering system.

RE: Steering problem...looking for ideas/causes
Ball joint or tie rod failure. Solid pothole hit or curb or other front end stress may be the root cause.

RE: Help 2011 Itasca Cambria 30C
Check that the coach/house battery switch is "enabled" (coach batteries are "enabled"). Usually near/in the stepwell, near the side entry door.
If not, consult the Owner Manual if you have one, or go to the manufacturer's website and download.

RE: Fundy Trail Parkway
The Cabot Trail is worth the drive to Cape Breton. There are many outstanding viewpoints along the way, but there are also some steep grades and tight turns, that a larger motorhome would find "challenging". I saw a few larger motorhomes trying it, and recall wishing them "good luck" as we passed them in our Roadtrek.
Baddeck is a good base location to explore the rest of Cape Breton. There are some smallish cafes and fooderies along the various routes. Fuel is generally available along the trail, but will be pricey, and some stations will have shorter hours of operation, so best to run on the top half of the tank where possible.
When you cross out of the lower half of the province across the swing bridge and the Canso Causeway into Port Hawkesbury, keep a lookout for bald eagles. They sometimes nest on tall trees, and power and communications towers along the canal. You may see osprey nests as well. They've built special platforms for nesting for them along the highways.
If you like big boats, check out the ferry docks in North Sydney.
Take your time, and enjoy the views, it will be memorable.
If you do decide to visit the southern end of Nova Scotia, there's Peggy's Cove, and right near it, the roadside memorial for the passengers and crew on Swissair Flight 111 that crashed there in 1998.
Lots of other less infamous historical sites throughout the province.
